without plaster (expanded tweet from 25th april)

last night: half past midnight.

walked into kitchen for drink in near-sleep stupor. tripped and stubbed toe on pile of wood. light on - i have no plaster anymore. all bare brick save for a thin strip. THIS IS A BUILDING SITE.

oh, and there isn't a sink anymore either. so the journey was a complete waste of time. joy of joys.

the actual floor is coming up (i.e. out) next week.

ack. holidays 3/4 of the way through. i'd like to know how, exactly?

plundered much from the garden here and boxed it up to take home tonight. a right old list of treasures. ready to plant up in my postage-stamp-sized (but currently barren) garden.

five things

1. i took a timely break from blogs this week (timely, as it's the holidays). 

2. plants were planted, hanging baskets filled, magazines read and rooms tidied. best of all the sun has been shining for the most part and i am the proud owner of a smattering of new freckles.

3. i am nearly done withe the wedding invites (after much pondering, i have gone with a vinyl sticker for the decoration. not as bad as it sounds: they look great. PLUS it saved me hours of hand cutting. result).

4. i saw this (and others telling similar stories) at the bus stop and was amused by it's likeness to a certain poster. no prizes for guessing...

5. am headed to the motherland in a couple of hours to enjoy the bank holiday weekend with my friends, family and forty-two gcse projects. it will be a ball.
